Now, full disclosure. What’s in it for you, and why should you give a shit about me or anything I have to say?

Well, I’m glad you asked.

My promise is simple: I’m not here to clog your inbox with shit. I’ll send you emails worth reading. Some will be funny stories. Some will be promotional: a new book, an event, an article or video where I shout my opinion that no one asked for. And some will be informative, like how criminals are manipulating the court system to get away with their crimes.

But this is a two-way relationship. I am not a faceless corporation with a marketing team. Every email and every story is written by me. I am a one-man show, and fuck me, coffee is needed a lot of the time.

My part: I make my living by writing and providing people with an escape into the dark world of crime, be it a true account or a dark story inspired by true events. So, I write books that you won’t find anywhere else. I don’t have a gatekeeper, so my books are raw to the bone, packed with dark themes and often inappropriate humour.

Your part: You enjoy my books, emails and content, and use them as an escape from the chaos of real life for a little while after the kids have gone to bed. Then, when you see someone reading a thriller or someone asks, ‘Read any good books recently?’ my name comes out of your mouth.

Read them. Laugh at them. Reply if something lands. Recommend them to someone else. And every now and then, maybe buy a book or join the Crime Club. It’s free.

I was a cop for nearly ten years, and while I was a cop, I wrote dozens of crime thrillers based on my true frontline policing experience. During that time, I also saw a lot of shit, both from the people I dealt with and the organisation as a whole. I then left and wrote a book about it called ‘The Job’s F*cked: The Secret Diary of a Police Officer’, which landed me on some of the biggest podcasts in the world, talking about the internal corruption of our justice system.

But ultimately, I am just an ordinary guy who has a family and who writes stories.

I want to be the biggest crime thriller author in the world. Some may laugh at that, but I once heard someone say, ‘If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough,’
